Ella 2008

This is Ella, she is a Black puppy dane girl with demodetic mange.  Already Ella is doing better. She is being treated for her mange and the secondary infection it caused. Her healing has started and she is going to be a beautiful dane someday soon! Notice her fine featured head...she will be a stunner!

She loves kids and is currently living with little children and even though she swings her butt around and knocks them over from time to time they love her very much. She will figure out what to do with her butt as she matures. She is just a puppy now and prone to be a bit clumsy and thoughtless, but her heart is in the right place.

She is smart as a whip, already taken to crate training and goes into her crate happily. When she is ready for bed at night she goes in by herself and her foster family sees her going in and asks her if she is ready for bed. She just needs the gate closed and she is asleep in no time. Right now the hardest part about caring for Ella is her demo wounds. Her cracked skin bleeds very easily and she needs weekly baths to help her healing

Update on Ella from her foster family:

About Miss Ella, she is starting to feel her oats. she is just a wonderful puppy. She's very silly and loves to play. She's kind of spoiled she has to have her covers she likes to sleep with and her stuffed animal she loves to play and jump around with. My family is just in awe of how well she is doing compared to how she was when we got her. My husband isn't thrilled with the way she smells but other then that he loves her too. LOL...   She's not very graceful around children, she doesn't know to watch out for them. She doesn't mind them, and is sweet to each one, but she's still a puppy and just not careful around them.  she does great with smaller dogs. she's a food hog but other then that she's great with them. cats, we don't have any cats so not real sure about that.  Kennel training is going great she likes her kennel. we are now starting to work on sitting, and laying down, along with leaving things alone on counters. Haven't taken her out in public due to her condition, but hope to soon.   hope you enjoy the pictures :)   she has made such an awesome recovery....

Restrictions

Ella has not been tested with cats and does not live with any at the moment. Please be aware of this if you have cats and wish to adopt her. You may have to train her not to chase since she is a pup and love to chase things.

  • When all said and done, Ella's medical costs to rescue will be $400.00 If you want to help but can't adopt please consider donating to her medical bills. Her demodetic mange is not as expensive to treat as other ailments, but the treatment is long and it adds up. She will need to be spayed when the time comes and  must get healthy first to undergo spay surgery.

The donation button above sends funds directly to Ella.
